The ‘Sakura Science Exchange Program’ is a program aimed at inviting young and talented foreign scientists to visit Japan for a short period of time. This program is funded by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), which offers the opportunity to experience the latest advancements in science and technology in Japan while introducing Japanese culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The program will be carried out under the invitation of Hokkaido University from August 28 to September 3, 2023, and will be attended by faculty members from the Environmental Science program of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), namely Rifa\u2019Atunnisa, S.Hut., M.Si., PhD., along with two students from the Environmental Science program, Maulana Malik Wicaksono and Cintiya Egi Purwadi. Additionally, seven participants from the University of Malaysia Sabah will also take part. During this program, Hokkaido University will introduce the latest research and technology related to sustainable agriculture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Simultaneously, an Environmental Science student, Josue Willian Alwyn, who is a recipient of the Developing Countries Partnership (KNB) scholarship from Timor-Leste, will participate in the ‘Young Southeast Asian Leader Initiative’ (YSEALI) program in the field of environmental issues and Natural Resource Management at the East-West Center, University of Hawai’i, United States (US) from August 21 to September 29, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This academic fellowship is a special exchange program by the US government that brings selected young leaders from Southeast Asia to the US to develop leadership and professional skills in various fields.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
