LPPP UNNES Organizes PEKERTI Training at AKPOL to Enhance Teaching Competencies of Academic Staff

Semarang, April 25, 2025 — The Institute for Educational Development and Quality Assurance (LPPP) Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) organized the Basic Instructional Skills Development Training (PEKERTI) for 25 academic staff members of the Indonesian Police Academy (AKPOL). The training was conducted onsite at AKPOL from April 21 to 25, 2025.

The five-day program aimed to strengthen participants’ pedagogical competencies, particularly in instructional planning, implementation, and evaluation within higher education. PEKERTI is a strategic program designed to equip lecturers with essential instructional skills to improve the quality of teaching and learning processes.

During the training, participants received comprehensive materials on instructional design, innovative teaching strategies, learning assessment, and microteaching practices. These sessions were intended to enhance participants’ ability to deliver effective, interactive, and outcome-based learning experiences.

In addition to theoretical sessions, the program emphasized practical activities and group discussions to deepen participants’ understanding of applying adaptive and innovative teaching methods in the classroom. PEKERTI is widely recognized as an important program for improving lecturers’ professionalism and supporting their academic career development. Through this initiative, it is expected that AKPOL academic staff will be able to implement the knowledge and skills gained, contributing to improved educational quality and the development of competent and competitive graduates
