Semarang 12 September 2024– Pusat Layanan Bahasa, Pelatihan Pendidikan, Karier, Bimbingan Konseling, dan Disabilitas Lembaga Pengembangan Pendidikan dan Profesi Universitas Negeri Semarang (PLBPKBD LPPP UNNES) menyelenggarakan kegiatan Training of Trainers (ToT) PEKERTI-AA bagi dosen Universitas Cendrawasih. Kegiatan ini berlangsung mulai 10-12 September 2024 dan menjadi bagian dari upaya penguatan kualitas pendidikan tinggi di Indonesia Timur dan sejalan dengan komitmen terhadap pencapaian Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (Sustainable Development Goals atau SDGs), khususnya SDG 4: Quality Education.

Dalam sambutannya, panitia pelaksana menyampaikan bahwa kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk menyegarkan dan memperkuat kapasitas para instruktur pelatihan PEKERTI-AA, agar dapat mendampingi para dosen dengan kompetensi yang semakin baik. Sebanyak 16 instruktur terlibat dalam pelatihan ini, terdiri atas para pendidik berpengalaman dan instruktur baru yang akan memperkuat tim pelatih PEKERTI-AA di lingkungan UNCEN.

Kegiatan yang berlangsung selama tiga hari ini diselenggarakan secara online dengan MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) dan mengusung berbagai topik penting dalam pengembangan pendidikan tinggi, antara lain: review kurikulum PEKERTI dan AA, paradigma pembelajaran di perguruan tinggi, inovasi dalam pengembangan bahan ajar, teori belajar dan motivasi, pembelajaran aktif, prinsip evaluasi dan asesmen, manajemen kelas, serta praktik melatih. Setiap materi didampingi oleh panelis ahli yang berkompeten di bidangnya.

“Peningkatan kapasitas dosen melalui pelatihan ini sangat krusial dalam mewujudkan pendidikan tinggi yang inklusif dan bermutu, terutama di wilayah Papua,” ujar salah satu panitia. “Ini juga merupakan kontribusi konkret UNCEN dalam mendukung SDG 4 yang menekankan pentingnya pendidikan berkualitas dan peningkatan kompetensi tenaga pendidik.”

Tak hanya itu, kegiatan ini juga mencerminkan semangat SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), dengan membuka akses peningkatan kapasitas secara merata bagi tenaga pendidik di wilayah timur Indonesia. Selain itu, penyelenggaraan pelatihan oleh PLBPKBD LPPP UNNES—yang juga menangani isu disabilitas dan bimbingan konseling—mencerminkan kepedulian terhadap pembangunan manusia yang holistik dan berkeadilan.

Dengan pelatihan ini, diharapkan para instruktur dapat menjadi agen perubahan dalam pengembangan metode pembelajaran yang lebih kontekstual, partisipatif, dan transformatif, sekaligus mendorong atmosfer akademik yang inovatif di Universitas Cenderawasih.
