In accordance with its vision and mission, Semarang State University (Unnes) always strives to improve quality and services through internal quality assurance activities. In 2007, the Chancellor of UNNES formed a Quality Assurance Team as an academic support work unit tasked with developing an Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) (Rector’s Assignment Letter No. 1611/J40/KP/2007).

In line with the transformation of UNNES into a legal entity state university (PTN-BH) on October 20 2022 based on Republic of Indonesia Government Regulation No. 36 of 2022, the status of the Quality Assurance Agency (BPM) changes to the Quality Assurance Office (KPM) through Chancellor’s Regulation no. 11 of 2023 concerning Organizational Structure and Work Procedures. Based on the Chancellor’s Regulation in CHAPTER VII ELEMENTS OF IMPLEMENTING QUALITY ASSURANCE Article 77, the Quality Assurance Office (KPM) as referred to in Article 3 paragraph (1) letter d, has the task of carrying out coordination, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of activities to improve and develop learning and guarantee the quality of education. In implementing the activity program, KPM has two centers, namely 1) Center for Analysis and Quality Assurance System Development (PPSAPM) and 2) Center for Higher Education Data (PD-Dikti).

  1. Become the best Quality Assurance Office capable of monitoring the quality of Semarang State University (UNNES) towards becoming a World Reputable University and a Pioneer of Excellence in Education with a Conservation Insight.
Mission
  1. Develop and implement the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) and improve the External Quality Assurance System (SPME) at UNNES on an ongoing basis.
  2. Cultivate SPMI in every work unit at UNNES.

Duty

  1. Plan and implement SPMI at UNNES, so that it meets the Quality Standard requirements based on SN-Dikti within the scope of academic services and supporting activities.
  2. Carrying out Internal Monitoring and Evaluation (Monevin) of academic service processes and supporting activities.
  3. Carrying out Internal Quality Audits (AMI) within the scope of academic services and supporting activities.
  4. Report implementation results, formulate improvements and follow up on SPMI implementation through Internal Quality Audit (AMI) at UNNES.
  5. Carry out assistance to improve study program accreditation qualifications.

Organizational Goals

  1. Ensure the quality of educational implementation to produce graduates who are characterful, competent, able to develop themselves and are highly competitive.
  2. Ensure the quality of research and community service that can improve community welfare.
  3. Provide excellent service to internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Improve the quality management system on an ongoing basis towards an international standard conservation university that is healthy, superior and prosperous
