Tuesday, May 20, 2025, coinciding with National Awakening Day, a field assessment of the accreditation of the Japanese Language Education Undergraduate Study Program and the Development Economics Undergraduate Study Program was carried out. The assessment of both study programs was carried out by different independent accreditation institutions. This is a realization of Law Number 12 of 2012 concerning Higher Education, specifically Article 55 paragraph 4 which states that study program accreditation is carried out by an Independent Accreditation Institution. The implementation of this policy is stated in BAN-PT Regulation Number 9 of 2020 and BAN-PT Regulation Number 19 of 2022.
The Japanese Language Education Undergraduate Study Program under the management of the Faculty of Languages and Arts is a study program included in the education cluster with LAMDIK as its accreditation assessor institution. Meanwhile, the Development Economics Undergraduate Study Program under the management of the Faculty of Economics and Business, the accreditation assessment is carried out by LAMEMBA. The assessors of the Japanese Language Education Undergraduate Study Program are Prof. Dr. Djodjok Soepardjo, M.Litt. from Surabaya State University and Dr. Herniwati, S.Pd., M.Hum. from the Indonesian Education University. The Japanese Language Education Undergraduate Study Program and the Development Economics Undergraduate Study Program currently have an accreditation status with an accreditation rating of A.
The success of achieving accreditation cannot be separated from the contribution of all elements that support the implementation of accreditation starting from the leadership, task force team, academic community, and stakeholders involved in the accreditation process. It is expected that through this accreditation assessment, it can provide the best results with an UNGGUL accreditation rating, thereby improving the quality and quality of Study Program services, especially in the field of education.
