Semarang State University (UNNES) has great potential to become a sustainable campus. In addition to having a vision to become a Conservation-oriented University, UNNES also has various good practices that are in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This was conveyed by the President of the Indonesia SDGs Center Network Bayu Arie Fianto in the Focused Discussion Forum on Governance of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for Higher Education on Tuesday (18\/6).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This lecturer from Airlangga University (Unair) believes that UNNES also has other potentials such as policies, research activities, community service, and other academic activities that can be proof of UNNES’ commitment to becoming a sustainable university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, according to him, the challenge faced is collecting evidence so that these activities are recognized by ranking institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I see UNNES as a very good campus. It has an ecofarm, has environmentally friendly technology, which is in accordance with the SDGs,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To overcome these challenges, his party emphasized the development of an information system that can integrate the data in an integrated manner. This makes reporting easier so that the activity is recognized by the ranking agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, he emphasized that universities should also focus on realizing the values \u200b\u200bof the SDGs and make rankings a bonus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
