In order to commemorate Earth Day and realize the commitment to environmental sustainability, the Faculty of Law, Universitas Negeri Semarang together with the Semarang City Ministry of Religious Affairs Office held a real action through the 1 Million Matoa Tree Planting Movement, which was carried out on the UNNES campus. Carrying the slogan &#8220;1 Tree, a Million Benefits&#8221;, this activity is a symbol of collaboration between institutions in campaigning for the importance of environmental conservation and efforts to maintain the sustainability of local ecosystems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/konservasi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2025\/04\/IMG-20250425-WA0018-1024x576-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9588\" srcset=\"https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/konservasi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2025\/04\/IMG-20250425-WA0018-1024x576-1.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/konservasi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2025\/04\/IMG-20250425-WA0018-1024x576-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/konservasi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2025\/04\/IMG-20250425-WA0018-1024x576-1-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Matoa trees were chosen because they have ecological and economic value, and are easily adaptable to Indonesia&#8217;s tropical climate. Planting was carried out simultaneously by the leadership of FH UNNES and the Semarang City Ministry of Religious Affairs, and involved students and lecturers as a form of active participation of the academic community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This action is also in line with UNNES&#8217;s grand vision as a conservation campus that continues to strive to foster a culture of love for the environment. The Dean of FH UNNES said that this activity is not just a ceremonial movement, but a real form of the campus&#8217;s contribution to protecting the earth and the future. &#8220;One tree that we plant today will bring a million benefits to future generations,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This activity is also part of the implementation of the values \u200b\u200bof &#8220;FH Echoing, Graduates Powerful, Law Sovereign&#8221;, where law students are not only required to excel academically, but also have social awareness and ecological responsibility towards the surrounding environment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Semarang, April 22, 2025.
