Semarang, 5 June 2024 \u2013 In commemoration of World Environment Day, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) held outreach activities about the importance of reforestation and caring for the earth. This event was aimed specifically at lecturers and educational staff within FMIPA UNNES and took place with great enthusiasm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event started at 07.00 WIB with remarks from the Deputy Dean II FMIPA UNNES, Dr. Isnarto, M.Sc., who emphasized the important role of academics in protecting the environment. \u201cAs part of an educational institution, we have a big responsibility to set an example in environmental conservation efforts. “Today we will learn together how to take better care of the earth,” said Dr. Isnarto, M.Sc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the speech, the event continued with an outreach session discussing the global environmental crisis, the impact of climate change, and the importance of reforestation as a solution. He also provides practical tips on how to care for plants and greening techniques that can be applied both on campus and at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With the end of this activity, FMIPA UNNES hopes to continue to encourage environmental awareness among lecturers and education staff, as well as inspire the entire academic community to play an active role in preserving the earth.
