Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) celebrated this year’s National Education Day (Hardiknas) with a unique step. Showing the rich cultural diversity in Indonesia, the UNNES academic community wore traditional Indonesian clothing at the National Education Day commemoration ceremony today, Thursday (02\/05\/2024).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the spirit of commemorating the importance of education for the nation’s progress, UNNES lecturers, education staff and students wore traditional clothing from various regions in Indonesia. Starting from kebaya and Javanese batik cloth, to bodo clothes from South Sulawesi. The diversity of Indonesian culture is clearly manifested in the atmosphere commemorating this year’s National Education Day at UNNES.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Acting as Master of Ceremonies is the Chancellor of UNNES, Prof. Dr. S Martono, M.Sc. who read remarks from the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his speech, the Minister of Education and Culture, Nadiem Anwar Makarim, expressed the return of joy and courage for Indonesian children to dream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We have heard again that Indonesian children dare to dream because they feel free when studying in class,” wrote the Minister of Education and Culture as read by the Chancellor of UNNES.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
