At the 2023 Semarang Fashion Trend (SFT) event, the fashion design education study program from Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), represented by Sekar Ayu, looked amazing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They displayed their work using the upcycling idea at an event that took place at the Fashion Runway Hall, BBPVP Semarang, from Wednesday through Saturday (9\u201312\/8\/2023).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The upcycle idea involves repurposing materials from collections of used clothing by using a variety of methods. With the help of this idea, Sekar Ayu was able to change her appearance for her two collections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first collection, titled “Ancient Bones,” was created by Syifa Rahma Qonita, Ulin Nur Kholifah, and Tariesya Rahmawaty Gunawan using the “discard” technique. It capitalizes on the trend forecasting the survivor thrifty chic, synonymous with faded colors typical of clothing that has been stored for a long time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The traits of upcycling that become stylish in Sekar Ayu’s second collection are exaggerated shapes and details, thrilled, energetic, dominant, huge, and flamboyant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This collection’s usage of the upcycle technique attempts to lessen the negative effects of the overuse of denim fabrics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A streetwear-inspired design is created by combining denim with the textiles Jepara Troso Woven and Prasodjo Lurik. Putri Adhitya, Junnisa Amalia Adani, Denta Aditya, and Istyanti Hutagalung, who are all enrolled in the Semarang State University (UNNES) Fashion Design Education program, created this endearing collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The two pieces were completely supervised by the lecturer Dr. Sri Endah Wahyuningsih, M.Pd., Dra. Widowati, M.Pd., Roudlotus Sholikhah, S.Pd., M.Pd., and Atika S.Pd., M.Pd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
