on Friday, June 9, 2023, Semarang State University (UNNES) hosted a wayang kulit show all night, to mark the 58th anniversary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Friday night, the wayang kulit show took place in the Rector’s field at the Sekaran Campus in Gunungpati. Wahyu Dayaningrat was the play that was performed, and Ki Sigit Aryanto from Rembang prepared it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year’s wayang kulit show was unique because it was the first to be held following the COVID-19 pandemic, according to UNNES Chancellor Prof. Dr. S. Martono MSi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the UNNES anniversary, wayang kulit performances are a regular feature of the schedule. One of UNNES’s goals as a university with a conservation mindset is related to this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We want to keep protecting the current cultures, particularly Javanese culture. Please make a prayer request for UNNES to develop and succeed in all areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On May 29, 2023, UNNES hosted a ketoprak performance of the drama “Kembang Cempaka Mulya” in addition to Wayang Kulit. The vice chancellors, deans, and other structural officials as well as the chancellor are among the UNNES leaders who participate in the ketoprak game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
