Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), through its Subdirectorate of Conservation in collaboration with the FISIP Conservation Group, conducted a monitoring and evaluation (monev) of seedlings provided by the Forest Seed Certification Center (BSPTH) Kalongan on Friday, June 12, 2026, starting at 08:00 AM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The activity aimed to ensure the success of the planting program and the sustainability of plant maintenance across the campus. Monitoring was conducted at several locations, including the UNNES Rusunawa area, FISIP, FMIPA, and the Kalisegoro village area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Various plant species were monitored, including pucuk merah, tabebuya, damar, bungur, kemuning, salam, and eucalyptus. The evaluation focused on plant growth conditions, survival rates, and further maintenance needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This initiative reflects the synergy between UNNES and BSPTH Kalongan in supporting environmental conservation and greening programs. It emphasizes that planting efforts must go beyond seed distribution and include ongoing care and monitoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis monitoring is essential to ensure that the planted seedlings grow optimally and deliver real environmental benefits. We also encourage continuous maintenance to maintain a high survival rate,\u201d said a representative of BSPTH Kalongan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this monitoring activity, all planted areas are expected to develop optimally, strengthening green open spaces and improving environmental quality within UNNES and surrounding areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program reinforces UNNES\u2019s commitment as a conservation-oriented university that actively contributes to environmental sustainability through participatory and sustainable approaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
