The Science Education Undergraduate Program at Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) conducted a field visit to Ecofarm UNNES on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. This activity was part of the Horticulture Cultivation course, aimed at providing students with hands-on learning experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A total of 84 students participated in the activity in one session starting at 8:00 AM. The program was accompanied by course lecturers who provided guidance throughout the activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the visit, students were not only introduced to theoretical concepts but also engaged in practical learning on horticulture cultivation and hydroponic installation systems. The activity was facilitated by the UNNES Subdirectorate of Conservation as part of its commitment to practical and environment-based education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This initiative provided students with an applied learning experience in modern agricultural practices. \u201cThrough this activity, students are expected not only to understand the theory but also to apply horticultural and hydroponic techniques directly in the field,\u201d said Amnan Haris, S.Si., M.Ling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this program, students are expected to enhance their knowledge and skills in sustainable agriculture while developing awareness of environmental conservation. The activity also strengthens the integration of real-world practices into higher education learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UNNES Subdirectorate of Conservation emphasized that this activity reflects its commitment to providing practical environmental education for the academic community. The initiative is expected to promote contextual and impactful learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
