Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) held the main ceremony of its 61st anniversary on Monday, June 8, 2026, at the Prof. Wuryanto Auditorium, Sekaran Campus, Semarang. The event served as an important milestone to strengthen UNNES\u2019s role in education, research, innovation, and sustainable conservation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the ceremony, UNNES awarded the Conservation Honor, Upakarti Dharmakarya Pranata Bhuana, to the Minister of National Development Planning\/Head of Bappenas of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Ir. Rachmat Pambudy, M.S. The award was presented in recognition of his contributions to advancing sustainable development in Indonesia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the theme \u201cUNNES Moves, Impacts!\u201d, the anniversary highlighted UNNES\u2019s commitment as a conservation-oriented university that continues to contribute to society and national development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Rector of UNNES, Prof. Dr. S. Martono, M.Si., emphasized the university\u2019s mission to provide solutions to national challenges. \u201cUNNES must continue to contribute through education, research, innovation, and conservation to deliver real impact to society,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the Minister of National Development Planning highlighted the crucial role of higher education institutions in national development. \u201cUniversities must serve as a compass for sustainable development and contribute to achieving Indonesia\u2019s Golden Vision 2045,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the award presentation, the event also included the signing of a cooperation agreement between UNNES and the Ministry of National Development Planning, strengthening collaboration in research, policy development, and national progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through its 61st anniversary, UNNES reaffirmed its commitment to continuously move forward and create meaningful impact as a globally competitive conservation university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
