Students of Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) participated in conservation course activities through field visits to UNNES Ecofarm, held from Monday to Friday, May 18\u201322, 2026. The program aims to provide hands-on learning experiences in understanding conservation concepts and sustainable urban farming practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the activity, students were introduced to various facilities at the Ecofarm, including a hydroponic house, aquaponic system, organic farming area, maggot house, durian garden, avocado tabulampot garden, rare plant house, nursery house, ornamental plant house, and orchid house. These facilities represent an integrated learning system that demonstrates conservation practices in a comprehensive manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rahmanudin, S.Si., one of the Ecofarm managers, emphasized the importance of direct learning. \u201cThrough field-based activities, students can understand conservation not only in theory but also through real-life implementation,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yuniawan Prima Nanda added that the urban farming concept plays a significant role in addressing urban environmental challenges. \u201cUrban farming demonstrates that limited land can still be utilized efficiently while maintaining environmental balance,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Alifiansyah A.A.W., S.Pd. highlighted the importance of student involvement in environmental initiatives. \u201cThis activity is expected to build students\u2019 awareness and encourage them to become agents of change in promoting sustainability,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This activity supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and SDG 13 (Climate Action).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
