{"id":10548,"date":"2025-12-12T02:34:27","date_gmt":"2025-12-12T02:34:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/konservasi\/?p=10548"},"modified":"2025-12-12T02:34:28","modified_gmt":"2025-12-12T02:34:28","slug":"rawa-pening-3d-storybook-a-new-way-to-learn-math-through-cultural-stories","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/konservasi\/rawa-pening-3d-storybook-a-new-way-to-learn-math-through-cultural-stories\/","title":{"rendered":"Rawa Pening 3D Storybook: A New Way to Learn Math Through Cultural Stories"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Amidst the challenge of low numeracy literacy among Indonesian students, a group of students from Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) have introduced an innovative interactive learning media, the 3D Storybook Rawa Pening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This media combines local cultural stories, Augmented Reality (AR) technology, and a Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) approach to help students understand mathematical concepts in a contextual and enjoyable way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Developed by Habba Arrizal Anas and Sabrina Riski Astutiningtyas under the guidance of Adi Satrio Ardiansyah, S.Pd., M.Pd., this innovation aims to improve the numeracy literacy of junior high school students, particularly in the topic of similarity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The primary inspiration comes from the rich culture and lifestyle of the communities around Rawa Pening, which serve as a real-life context for geometry learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With a 3D AR display, students can visualize objects such as stilt houses or fish cages directly, as if they were on the shore of a lake. Through CBL stages, they are encouraged to identify real-life issues, formulate questions, and solve mathematical challenges relevant to everyday life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A trial at SMP Negeri 1 Ungaran showed positive results: the media was deemed suitable for use (86.5%), easy to understand (97.25%), and effective in improving numeracy literacy (98%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through a combination of culture, challenges, and technology, the Rawa Pening 3D Storybook demonstrates that learning mathematics can be engaging, meaningful, and rooted in local wisdom, while simultaneously supporting SDG 2030 point 4, namely Quality Education.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Amidst the challenge of low numeracy literacy among Indonesian students, a group of students from Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) have introduced an innovative interactive learning media, the 3D Storybook Rawa Pening.
