Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) Lantip program once again showcased student contributions in delivering creative learning innovations at partner schools. Anindya Chesta Laksmi, one of the Lantip participants, developed the “Ecological Detective: Investigating the Distribution of Flora and Fauna in Indonesia” method, which was implemented at SMA Negeri 1 Semarang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This program encourages students to understand biogeographic concepts through an active and fun discovery learning approach. In this activity, 10th-grade students play the role of “environmental detectives” tasked with investigating the distribution patterns of flora and fauna in Indonesia. Students are divided into six groups and participate in games at seven stations that include crossword puzzles, map analysis, species image recognition, and solving scientific puzzles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Through this method, students not only learn theory but also hone their critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, collaboration skills, and scientific curiosity,” said Anindya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The game lasts 60 minutes, utilizing classrooms and the school garden. Teachers act as facilitators and judges. The group with the highest points is crowned the winner and conducts a review of the material at the end of the learning session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This innovation is expected to create an interactive learning atmosphere while increasing students’ understanding of Indonesia’s rich flora and fauna, as well as being evidence of the contribution of UNNES Lantip students in enriching learning methods at partner schools.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
