Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) won the 2025 DetikJateng-Jogja Awards in the Sustainable and Conservation-Minded Campus category on Wednesday (July 23, 2025) at the Grandhika Bhakti Praja building in Semarang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This award was given in recognition of UNNES’ dedication to developing conservation-based education with three pillars: values \u200b\u200band character, arts and culture, and natural resources and the environment. With several flagship programs, such as tree planting monitored through the Tree Planting Information System (Siomon) and the Independent Waste Processing Facility Development program, UNNES demonstrates its commitment to being a sustainable and conservation-minded campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The DetikJateng-Jogja Awards is an annual recognition event given to individuals or institutions that have made a real impact through measurable actions and programs. The assessment process is rigorous, considering program success and direct contributions to society and the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
UNNES Head of Public Relations, Dr. Surahmat, S.Pd., M.Hum., representing the UNNES Rector, stated that this award is a form of appreciation and commitment to UNNES as a conservation-minded university. He hopes this award will further motivate UNNES to realize conservation-minded education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“This is a very valuable form of appreciation. Hopefully, it will continue to motivate UNNES to mobilize the community and academic community to realize the three pillars of conservation,” he said (July 23, 2025).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
