Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) has once again achieved a proud achievement at the national level. Students from the Dance Education Study Program, Faculty of Languages \u200b\u200band Arts (FBS) at UNNES, won first place in the Indonesian Creative Dance competition held at the GPH Haryo Mataram Auditorium, Sebelas Maret University (UNS) in Surakarta, Sunday (July 13, 2025).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The annual event, titled Gelar Budaya 2025, drew 23 participants from various universities and art studios across Indonesia. Each team presented a creative dance work depicting the richness of local culture through an aesthetic approach and choreographic innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The UNNES team performed impressively and was deemed superior in terms of concept, technique, and appreciation. Under the guidance of Dr. Eny Kusumastuti, M.Pd. and Sestri Indah Pebrianti, S.Pd., M.A., the UNNES FBS team outperformed its competitors and secured the top spot in the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, second place went to the Islamic University of Indonesia Yogyakarta, and third place went to the Sigrak Delimo group, which also presented a powerful and passionate dance exploration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This event is not only a competition but also an important platform for cultural preservation and strengthening national identity through performing arts. Furthermore, the Nusantara Creative Dance Event aligns with UNNES’s commitment to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
