Dalam upaya mewujudkan komitmen terhadap pelestarian lingkungan sekaligus menjaga keselamatan jaringan transmisi listrik, PLN Unit Induk Transmisi Jawa Bagian Tengah (UIT JBT) bekerja sama dengan Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) meluncurkan Program Tanggung Jawab Sosial dan Lingkungan (TJSL) PLN Peduli bertema “Penanaman Pohon Unggul dan Pengembangan Tanaman Langka di Ecogreen Nursery UNNES” pada Jumat (7/11).

Kegiatan yang berlangsung di kawasan Ecogreen Nursery UNNES ini dihadiri oleh Prof. Dr. Zaenuri, M.Si., Akt., selaku Wakil Rektor I UNNES; Bapak Firdaus, Senior Manager Komunikasi dan Umum PLN UIT JBT; serta Ibu Shoti’ah, Kepala Dinas Pertanian Kota Semarang. Turut hadir para dosen, mahasiswa, dan tamu undangan dari berbagai instansi.

Dalam sambutannya, Prof. Zaenuri menyampaikan apresiasi atas dukungan PLN dalam upaya pelestarian lingkungan.

“Kolaborasi ini menjadi langkah strategis dalam memperkuat pendidikan konservasi dan memperluas dampak keberlanjutan yang selama ini menjadi komitmen UNNES,” ujarnya.

Sementara itu, Bapak Firdaus menjelaskan bahwa program TJSL PLN tidak hanya berfokus pada aspek sosial, tetapi juga diarahkan untuk mendukung kelestarian alam sekaligus keselamatan operasional sistem kelistrikan Jawa-Bali melalui kegiatan penghijauan yang tepat guna.

“Kami berharap kerja sama dengan UNNES ini dapat memberikan manfaat nyata bagi lingkungan dan masyarakat sekitar,” ungkapnya.

Sebagai bagian dari program ini, dilakukan pembibitan tanaman langka sebanyak 1.350 bibit dari 30 jenis di Ecogreen Nursery UNNES. Kegiatan tersebut bertujuan melestarikan kekayaan hayati lokal sekaligus menjadi sarana edukasi bagi mahasiswa dan masyarakat tentang pentingnya konservasi.

Selain itu, juga dilakukan penanaman tanaman bibit unggul seperti alpukat, kaliandra, dan durian di area Right of Way (ROW) atau di bawah jaringan transmisi listrik (sutet). Jenis tanaman tersebut dipilih karena tidak tumbuh terlalu tinggi namun tetap produktif, sehingga aman bagi jaringan listrik dan mendukung keberlanjutan ekonomi masyarakat sekitar.

UNNES turut berperan aktif dalam memfasilitasi pengembangan tanaman kaliandra sebagai pakan kambing. Upaya ini diharapkan dapat menyinergikan aktivitas peternakan dan pertanian masyarakat dengan keberadaan infrastruktur kelistrikan tanpa mengganggu keselamatan jaringan transmisi 500 kilovolt di wilayah Jawa Tengah.

Rangkaian kegiatan diisi dengan penayangan video TJSL PLN Peduli, testimoni inspiratif Local Hero oleh Bapak Mirtoyo, serta laporan pelaksanaan program oleh Prof. Dr. Juhadi, M.Si. Puncak acara ditandai dengan penyerahan Mock Up dan penandatanganan prasasti antara PLN dan UNNES sebagai simbol dimulainya kerja sama program TJSL.

Melalui kegiatan ini, PLN UIT JBT bersama UNNES dan Dinas Pertanian Kota Semarang berkomitmen memperkuat sinergi dalam menjaga kelestarian alam, meningkatkan keselamatan jaringan listrik, serta mendorong partisipasi masyarakat dalam mewujudkan lingkungan berkelanjutan.
