UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta  melakukan studi  banding  (benchmarking)  tentang pengelolaan sampah ke Universitas Negeri Semarang, Kamis pagi (02/11/2023). Kunjungan ini bertujuan untuk berbagi pengetahuan dan pengalaman dalam hal pengelolaan sampah yang efektif dan berkelanjutan antara kedua perguruan tinggi.

Rombongan UIN Sunan Kalijaga dipimpin Wakil Rektor Bidang Akademik, Prof. Dr. Iswandi Syahputra, S.Ag., M.Si., mengikuti acara ini  yang terbagi menjadi dua sesi. Sesi pertama berupa lokakarya pemaparan narasumber dari UNNES, yang disampaikan oleh Dr. Ir. Ananto Aji, M.Si., mewakili Ketua Subdirektorat Konservasi UNNES Prof. Dr. Amin Retnoningsih, M.Si. Sesi kedua berupa kunjungan ke Kampus UNNES Sekaran dengan fokus kunjungan ke Tempat Pengelolaan Sampah Terpadu.

Dalam paparannya Dr. Ir. Ananto Aji, M.Si., menyampaikan beberapa keberhasilan UNNES dalam  mengelola lingkungan.  Secara  umum  terkait dengan  prestasi UNNES  dalam  UI Greenmetric, dan khususnya terkait capaian UNNES menjadi kampus dengan keberhasilan zero   waste.   Dalam  sambutannya  Wakil  Rektor  Bidang  Akademik UIN  Sunan  Kalijaga menyampaikan apresiasi dan ketertarikan dengan keberhasilan UNNES mengelola sampah, sekaligus mendiskusikan  beberapa parameter terkait UI Greenmetric. Beliau menjelaskan bahwa kunjungan ini  merupakan langkah  awal dalam menerapkan praktik-praktik  terbaik yang telah dimiliki oleh UNNES di kampus UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Selanjutnya Bapak WR 1 juga menyampaikan  ketertarikan untuk mengikuti kontestasi UI Greenmetric pada masa datang. Dr Ananto selaku narasumber pun menyatakan siap mendampingi dan berkolaborasi dalam kontestasi bergengsi tersebut.

Setelah workshop kegiatan dilanjutkan  dengan kunjungan UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta untuk melihat Tempat Pengolahan Sampat Terpadu (TPST) UNNES. Pada saat kunjungan ke TPST, seluruh rombongan yang berjumlah 35 orang berkesempatan untuk mengamati dan mempelajari   berbagai  program  yang  telah  dilaksanakan oleh  UNNES.  Peserta  pun menunjukkan  ketertarikannya dengan   menanyakan  beberapa   hal  terkait  cara  kerja incinerator, pembuatan maggot, dan pembuatan kompos. Secara umum tim rombongan menyatakan bahwa TPST sangat menginspirasi rencana pengelolaan sampah ke depan di UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Pada  saat  campus   tour  anggota rombongan juga menyatakan apresiasi terhadap kondisi kampus UNNES yang hijau dan tertata baik.

Adanya kegiatan seperti ini diharapkan dapat terus berlanjut dan memberikan manfaat yang besar,  baik  bagi  kedua  institusi maupun  masyarakat luas.  Kebersihan dan  kelestarian lingkungan adalah tanggung jawab bersama, dan dengan kerjasama yang baik, kita dapat mencapai tujuan bersama dalam menjaga bumi kita tetap lestari.
