Aksi nyata dalam mendukung pelestarian lingkungan, Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) bekerja sama dengan Bakti Lingkungan Djarum Foundation menyelenggarakan kegiatan penanaman 3.500 bibit pohon pada Sabtu dan Minggu (25-26/11) di area Sendang Nyai Ketrik dan area Gunung Ledek, Gunungpati, Kota Semarang. Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari upaya bersama untuk menghadirkan perubahan nyata dalam menjaga kelestarian dan keberlanjutan lingkungan. Sekaligus sebagai bentuk aksi memperingati hari Menanam Pohon Indonesia yang diperingati setiap tanggal 28 November.

Kegiatan dengan tajuk SIAPDARLING (Siap Sadar Lingkungan) serta jargon ‘Go Green To Make Our Planet Clean’ sebagai satu langkah nyata untuk menyadarkan tanggung jawab kita dalam memerangi krisis alam dan mendorong gerakan menuju masa depan yang lebih sejahtera dan berkelanjutan.

Rektor UNNES, Prof. Dr. S Martono, M.Si., menyampaikan pentingnya peran setiap individu dalam melestarikan lingkungan.

“Melalui gerakan #SatuLangkahNyata, kami ingin mengajak semua pihak untuk berkontribusi dalam menjaga keberlanjutan alam. Kegiatan menanam ini bukan hanya sekadar simbol, tetapi juga tindakan nyata yang dapat memberikan dampak positif bagi lingkungan,” ujar Guru Besar Fakultas Ekonomika dan Bisnis itu.

Dukungan Bakti Lingkungan Djarum Foundation pada UNNES berupa penyediaan bibit pohon sebanyak 3500 bibit lengkap dengan pupuk kandang. FX Supanji selaku Vice President Director Djarum Foundation dalam sambutannya, beliau pun menekankan pentingnya menumbuhkan rasa cinta dan kepeduulian terhadap lingkungan.

Sebanyak 3.500 mahasiswa baru UNNES ikut terlibat dalam kegiatan penanaman pohon. Mahasiswa baru tersebut berasal dari sembilan fakultas, yaitu Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan dan Psikologi (408 mahasiswa), Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni (494 mahasiswa), Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik (359 mahasiswa), Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (448 mahasiswa), Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan (227 mahasiswa), Fakultas Teknik (498 mahasiswa), Fakultas Ekonomika dan Bisnis (576 mahasiswa), Fakultas Hukum (284 mahasiswa), dan Fakultas Kedokteran (206 mahasiswa).

Bibit yang akan ditanam meliputi 11 varietas dari 5 jenis buah, yaitu Alpukat Aligator, Alpukat Kendil, Alpukat Cipedak, Mangga Arummanis, Mangga Manalagi, Mangga Kiojay, Durian Kromo Banyumas, Durian Musangking Hortimart, Durian Otong, Petai, dan Rambutan Rapiah.

Program SIAPDARLING #SatuLangkahNyata diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat jangka panjang bagi lingkungan dan masyarakat, serta menjadi inspirasi bagi perguruan tinggi dan institusi lainnya untuk ikut dalam menjaga kelestarian alam. Dengan adanya hutan yang lestari, masyarakat dapat memanfaatkannya sebagai sumber daya alam yang berkelanjutan, seperti kayu dan buah-buahan. UNNES dan Bakti Lingkungan Djarum Foundation berkomitmen untuk terus melakukan program seperti ini agar dapat memberikan dampak positif yang berkelanjutan.
