Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) has once again achieved national-level student success through the SENOPATI HYDROTEAM 1 from the UNNES Faculty of Engineering (FT). The team secured 1st Runner-up (Juara Harapan 1) in the Electrical Remote Control (ERC) category at the 2026 Indonesian Boat Contest (KKI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The competition was organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemendiktisaintek) and held at the Bengkalis State Polytechnic in Riau from September 13 to 17, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
KKI 2026 saw participation from 129 student teams representing 52 higher education institutions across Indonesia. The event serves as a platform for students to showcase various technologies and innovations in the field of marine engineering and shipbuilding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The SENOPATI HYDROTEAM 1\u2014comprising Muhammad Ikhsanul Hakim (Mechanical Engineering, Class of 2024), Ibnu Alfarizy (Mechanical Engineering, 2023), Haiqal Herdiansyah Putera (Mechanical Engineering, 2024), Gilang Nur Ardiansyah (Electrical Engineering, 2024), and M. Alex Fernandes (Mechanical Engineering, 2025)\u2014won 1st Runner-up in the Electrical Remote Control (ERC) category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The team was mentored by three lecturers: Dr. Eng. Aldias Bahatmaka, S.T., M.T., Dr. Eng. Ir. Rizqi Fitri Naryanto, S.T., M.Eng., and Rizki Setiadi, S.Pd., M.T.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Dean of the UNNES Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Wirawan Sumbodo, M.T., expressed his appreciation for the students’ achievement. He noted that such accomplishments play a vital role in developing the students’ competence and experience within their chosen fields of study. \u201cThis achievement demonstrates the drive of FT UNNES students to continuously develop their competencies and produce innovative work. We hope this milestone serves as a valuable experience that encourages them to keep creating and excelling at the national level,\u201d said Prof. Wirawan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
