The event, themed &#8220;GROW: Green Restoration for Ocean and Wildlife,&#8221; reflected the collective spirit of sustainable coastal ecosystem restoration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mangrove Replant is an annual program of HMPTK FT UNNES, which this year entered its 13th edition. The event began with the Inauguration Ceremony of Mangrove Replant XIII in the parking lot in front of the FT UNNES Dean&#8217;s Office from 7:15\u20137:45 a.m. Western Indonesian Time, followed by a trip to the planting site in the coastal area of \u200b\u200bTambakrejo. The hands-on mangrove planting session took place from 10:07\u201310:57 WIB, followed by an evaluation and post-test session as part of environmental education for all participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This activity aligns with the Faculty of Engineering, UNNES&#8217;s (FT UNNES) commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 13: Climate Action and SDG 15: Life on Land. Mangrove planting is an ecological intervention proven effective in mitigating climate change through blue carbon sequestration, protecting coastlines from abrasion, and restoring habitat for coastal biodiversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HMPTK Advisor, Hanif Ardhiansyah, stated that this activity not only aims to increase mangrove vegetation cover in the Tambakrejo area but also to build environmental awareness among students and the surrounding community. This activity is expected to have a long-term positive impact on the coastal ecosystem and the quality of life of the communities surrounding the planting area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mangrove Replant #13 activity represents a concrete manifestation of the HMPTK FT UNNES academic community&#8217;s contribution to environmental conservation and sustainable development.
