The Chemical Engineering Professional Student Association (HMPTK) of Semarang State University once again held the annual Mangrove Replant #12 activity as a real manifestation of concern for environmental sustainability, especially coastal ecosystems and tropical marine life. This activity carries the theme “MANTA: Mangrove Action for Nature and Tropical Aquatic Life” and will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Tambakrejo Beach, Semarang City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this activity, HMPTK UNNES invites the younger generation to play an active role in maintaining the sustainability of nature. Planting mangrove seedlings is carried out in areas experiencing environmental degradation as a concrete step to restore the ecological function of coastal areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mangrove Replant #12 was attended by 50 active students from various universities in Indonesia, both from Semarang State University and outside UNNES. A total of 1,600 mangrove seedlings were successfully planted, becoming a symbol of hope for a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future for the earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This activity is also part of the ongoing work program of HMPTK UNNES in the field of environmental conservation. It is hoped that the spirit of conservation carried through this activity can inspire more parties to take action to protect nature. In addition, this activity also aims to raise participants’ awareness of the importance of preserving the environment, especially coastal areas, and to understand the vital role of mangrove plants in protecting coastal areas from natural disasters such as abrasion and tidal flooding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
