Universitas Sains dan Teknologi Nueva Ecija (NEUST) Philippines resmi jalin kemitraan dengan Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), Indonesia, melalui Nota Kesepahaman (MOA) yang ditandatangani pada 3 September 2025, di NEUST Mini Convention Center.

Dalam sambutannya, Presiden NEUST, Dr. Rhodora Jugo, menyatakan antusiasmenya terhadap kemitraan ini, dengan menyatakan: “Melalui kolaborasi ini, kami bercita-cita untuk menciptakan lebih banyak peluang bagi penelitian bersama, pengembangan fakultas dan mahasiswa, serta program-program berorientasi komunitas yang memberikan dampak berkelanjutan bagi masyarakat dan dunia.”

Berdasarkan perjanjian ini, NEUST dan UNNES akan menerapkan program timbal balik untuk memperluas penawaran akademik, menyediakan kesempatan belajar di luar negeri bagi mahasiswa, dan membangun kompetensi antarbudaya.

Setiap tahun, NEUST dan UNNES akan bersama-sama mengembangkan setidaknya satu proyek penelitian bersama, yang berfokus pada studi kooperatif, publikasi yang ditulis bersama, konferensi akademik, dan penelitian berbasis komunitas.

Pertukaran dosen tahunan juga merupakan bagian dari perjanjian ini, di mana dosen terpilih dari kedua institusi akan memberikan kuliah tamu, baik secara langsung maupun virtual, untuk mendorong keberagaman pedagogis dan keunggulan akademik.

Hadir dalam acara penandatanganan MoA ini adalah Atty. Bembol Castillo, Legal Officer NEUST dan Wakil Presiden Bidang Bisnis, Administrasi, dan Keuangan, dan Ar. Gregorio Villaviza Jr., Dekan Fakultas Arsitektur, beserta dosen, staf, dan mahasiswa CoArch.

Sementara itu, UNNES diwakili oleh Ir. Didik Nopianto Agung Nugradi, M.T., Koordinator Program Studi Teknik Arsitektur, beserta Dr. Lulut Indrianingrum, S.T., M.T.; Wiwit Setyowati, S.T., M.Sc.; Sherley Ika Christanti, M.Arch.; dan empat mahasiswa pertukaran: Hanif Radifan Musyafa, Aliya Zuhrotul Husna, Areno Bernadi Putra, dan Ratna Safitri.

Adapun kegiatan tersebut juga termasuk dalam SDG 17 (Kemitraan Demi Mencapai Tujuan), menjadikan kemitraan berskala internasional dan siap untuk meningkatkan reputasi UNNES di kancah dunia.
