This event was aimed at new students of the Sociology and Anthropology Education Study Program within the Faculty of Social Sciences and Political Science (FISIP) UNNES, serving to introduce the academic environment while fostering camaraderie among the students.

PULSA SOSANT UNNES took place at two locations: the 3rd-floor Hall of Building C1 at FISIP UNNES and the P3L Building (Center for Character Development Luhur) in Kopeng. Through this event, new students were introduced to the Sociology and Anthropology environment—including lecturers and peers from the same study program—allowing them to begin familiarizing themselves with the academic community that will be part of their university journey.

As an orientation event for the study program, PULSA SOSANT was designed to build closer relationships between new students, their peers, and lecturers. These interactions play a crucial role in helping students understand the university’s social and academic environment while fostering a sense of togetherness and connection with the study program community.

The organization of this event by HIMA SOSANT also highlights the role of student organizations in supporting the adaptation process for new students. Through orientation activities and peer interaction, HIMA SOSANT provides a space for students to build relationships, expand their social networks, and familiarize themselves with student life within the FISIP UNNES environment.

The PULSA SOSANT UNNES event aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 4: Quality Education, which promotes inclusive and quality education as well as learning opportunities for all. Introducing students to the academic environment and strengthening their social connections are key to fostering a positive learning experience, thereby better preparing new students for their higher education journey.

Furthermore, efforts to build rapport and a sense of community among students from diverse backgrounds align with SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), particularly by promoting an educational environment that is open, welcoming, and inclusive of every student’s participation. Through PULSA SOSANT, campus orientation transcends a mere welcoming event; it serves as a foundational step toward building an academic community that is mutually supportive and respectful of diversity.

With the holding of PULSA SOSANT UNNES on September 12–13, 2026, the Sociology and Anthropology Student Association (HIMA SOSANT) is expected to continue playing a vital role in creating a student environment that is friendly, supportive, and conducive to learning. This event is part of a broader effort to strengthen student bonds and support the academic journey of new students within the Sociology and Anthropology Education Study Program at FISIP UNNES.

SEMARANG – The Sociology and Anthropology Student Association (HIMA SOSANT) at Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) organized the General Introduction to the Sociology and Anthropology Environment (PULSA SOSANT UNNES) event on September 12–13, 2026.
