Five students from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) have won third place in the Social and Environmental Resilience Essay category at the 3rd Geo-Science National Competition, organized by Universitas Negeri Malang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The achievement was secured by Yassirli Amri, Khalisha Adzira Andhika Putri, Muhamad Choerul Hardiyanto, Sihab Alhabzi, and Bhamanta Rizqullah Justia. The five students competed as a team in the national-level competition, which focused on geographical issues as well as social and environmental resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The FISIP UNNES team was supervised by Dr. Andi Irwan Benardi, S.Pd., M.Pd. The third-place achievement demonstrates the students\u2019 ability to develop academic ideas through essay writing while also reflecting their concern for social and environmental issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Social and Environmental Resilience category provided an opportunity for students to develop ideas concerning community and environmental resilience in responding to various challenges. The theme is highly relevant to the social sciences, as it places communities, the environment, and adaptive capacity at the center of efforts to address change and emerging social issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The success of the FISIP UNNES team also demonstrates that learning in higher education extends beyond classroom activities and can be strengthened through academic competitions. Participation in such competitions encourages students to identify problems, develop arguments, organize ideas systematically, and present them through scholarly work capable of competing at the national level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The achievement further strengthens the role of students as part of a young generation committed to social and environmental sustainability. The concept of social and environmental resilience is important to promote because community resilience cannot be separated from the capacity to protect the environment and develop the ability to respond to various changes and challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This achievement contributes to SDG 4 (Quality Education) by strengthening students\u2019 academic competencies, critical-thinking skills, creativity, and learning experiences beyond the classroom. At the same time, the competition\u2019s focus on social and environmental resilience is also aligned with SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), particularly in promoting more resilient communities capable of responding to social and environmental challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The achievement of the five students is a source of pride for FISIP UNNES and demonstrates that strengthening students\u2019 academic capacity can go hand in hand with raising awareness of sustainability issues faced by communities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
