The closing ceremony was held at the FISIP field in Sekaran, Gunungpati, Semarang.

The closing event was marked by a lively flashmob. New students danced together while singing “Gala Sanskara,” the official PKKMB FISIP 2026 jingle. The performance brought the three-day program to a festive close while strengthening the sense of togetherness among the new students.

FISIP Dean Prof. Arif Purnomo officially closed the PKKMB. In his remarks, he reminded the new students that the end of PKKMB marked the beginning of their academic journey at the university.

“Stay enthusiastic after PKKMB and prepare yourselves for your first lectures. Get ready for the lectures starting on August 18. Hopefully, everything will go smoothly throughout your studies. Congratulations and best wishes to all of you,” Prof. Arif said during the closing ceremony.

The message served as a reminder that students must now shift their focus from campus orientation to academic life. After three days of getting to know the campus environment, study programs, and fellow students, they will soon begin attending lectures and adapting to university-level learning.

For many new students, PKKMB was also their first opportunity to meet and interact intensively with friends from different regions.

Muhammad Aji Ramadani, a new Geography Education student from Salatiga, described his PKKMB experience as both tiring and enjoyable.

“It was fun, although I was tired, sleepy, and hungry. But having so many friends made it enjoyable,” Aji said.

Meanwhile, Alisyia Eka Putri, a new Sociology and Anthropology Education student from Boyolali, said PKKMB provided her with a variety of new experiences.

“It was hot, but I gained a lot of experience. There were also tasks, including writing three folio pages,” Alisyia said.

Despite the physical demands and various assignments, the experience became part of the students’ early adjustment to university life. Meeting new friends, learning about their study programs, and participating in various PKKMB activities provided an initial foundation before they entered regular academic activities.

With PKKMB officially concluded, the new students of FISIP UNNES are now preparing for the next stage of their university journey.
