Semarang, July 31, 2026 \u2013 The Alumni Association (IKA) of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting students’ educational journeys by awarding educational scholarships to ten FISIP UNNES students. The scholarship presentation ceremony was held on Friday (July 31) in Meeting Room 202, 2nd Floor, Prof. Dr. A.T. Soegito Building, FISIP UNNES, and was presented directly by Dr. Kusno, S.Pd., M.Si., Chairman of the FISIP UNNES Alumni Association, who currently serves as Head of the Senior High School Division at the Central Java Provincial Education Office and previously served as Principal of SMAN 1 Semarang. The event formed part of the faculty’s official academic agenda, attended by the faculty leadership, alumni association representatives, and scholarship recipients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The scholarship program reflects the alumni association’s dedication to supporting students in completing their studies without being hindered by financial constraints. It also demonstrates the enduring relationship between alumni and their alma mater through meaningful initiatives that directly benefit current students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the ceremony, Dr. Kusno emphasized that education is a long-term investment that requires support from all stakeholders, including alumni. He noted that students’ success depends not only on academic excellence but also on a supportive environment that provides opportunities for personal and professional growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We hope this scholarship will encourage our students to continue striving for academic excellence and complete their studies successfully.     The Dean of FISIP UNNES expressed his appreciation to the FISIP UNNES Alumni Association for its continuous commitment to supporting students. According to him, the collaboration between the faculty and its alumni represents one of the institution’s greatest strengths in fostering an inclusive and sustainable higher education ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    For the recipients, the scholarships provide not only financial assistance but also motivation to pursue academic excellence and contribute positively to society. They expressed hope that the program would continue in the coming years, enabling more students to benefit from similar educational opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The scholarship program also highlights the strong sense of solidarity that continues to unite the FISIP UNNES alumni community. Through this initiative, alumni contribute not only financial support but also inspiration, demonstrating that professional success should be accompanied by a commitment to empowering future generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This initiative is closely aligned with Universitas Negeri Semarang’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The scholarship program directly supports SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 4 (Quality Education) by expanding access to inclusive and high-quality higher education. It also contributes to SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by helping reduce educational disparities caused by economic limitations. Furthermore, the collaboration between FISIP UNNES and its Alumni Association exemplifies SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by strengthening sustainable partnerships between higher education institutions and alumni to enhance educational quality and human resource development.
