{"id":17572,"date":"2026-02-13T17:08:45","date_gmt":"2026-02-13T10:08:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/fisip\/?p=17572"},"modified":"2026-02-13T17:08:47","modified_gmt":"2026-02-13T10:08:47","slug":"fisip-wins-2nd-place-at-unnes-61st-anniversary-expo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/fisip\/2026\/02\/13\/fisip-wins-2nd-place-at-unnes-61st-anniversary-expo\/","title":{"rendered":"FISIP Wins 2nd Place at UNNES 61st Anniversary Expo"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p> The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) secured second place at the expo marking the opening of the 61st anniversary celebration of Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) on Thursday (February 12, 2026).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the event, FISIP presented the theme <em>Life Below Water<\/em> (SDG 14), emphasizing marine conservation and the sustainable use of ocean resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The opening ceremony featured an SDGs-themed dance parade from each faculty, followed by the inauguration of exhibition booths. The expo was held at the field in front of the UNNES Rectorate Building, Sekaran, Gunungpati, Semarang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through SDG 14, FISIP highlighted the importance of preserving marine ecosystems and recognizing Indonesia\u2019s vast ocean potential. The booth displayed banners explaining the urgency of protecting marine life, while also addressing major challenges such as plastic waste, industrial pollution, and household waste contaminating the seas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/fisip\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/02\/IMG-20260213-WA0035-1-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17574\" srcset=\"https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/fisip\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/02\/IMG-20260213-WA0035-1-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/fisip\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/02\/IMG-20260213-WA0035-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/fisip\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/02\/IMG-20260213-WA0035-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/fisip\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/02\/IMG-20260213-WA0035-1.jpg 1500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Bambang Hermanto, a member of the FISIP Expo Team, said the banners also featured data on research and community service projects conducted by FISIP lecturers that align with SDG 14 and benefit coastal communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe banners present research and community engagement data by FISIP lecturers that are relevant to SDG 14 and have a direct impact on coastal communities,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the main attractions at the FISIP booth was an interactive board game. Visitors were invited to solve water-related issues in Indonesia by finding relevant cards to build solutions to water problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The board game drew strong interest from visitors across different faculties. In addition, FISIP offered free water testing services, allowing participants to measure pH levels and mineral content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The booth also showcased posters featuring student projects developed during their studies, reflecting academic contributions aligned with sustainable development goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dean of FISIP, Prof. Arif Purnomo, expressed pride in the faculty\u2019s achievement. He hopes the participation will further strengthen FISIP\u2019s contribution to institutional rankings based on the SDGs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFISIP is proud to support the success of the anniversary opening.
