The Community Service Team from the Geography Education Study Program organized a disaster mitigation and adaptation education activity in Keji Village on October 6, 2025. The event, themed \u201cCommunity Empowerment in Building a Disaster-Resilient Village through Education on Mitigation and Adaptation,\u201d<\/em> was attended by local youth from the Karang Taruna organization and community leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Keji Village is one of UNNES\u2019s partner villages, as designated by Rector\u2019s Decree No. B\/819\/UN37\/HK.02\/2025. Sriyianto the team leader, delivered an interactive session on disaster mitigation, emphasizing that a disaster-resilient village requires the active participation of all community members in identifying potential hazards and planning preventive measures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Head of Keji Village, Mr. Siswanto, expressed his appreciation for the initiative. \u201cWe highly appreciate the Geography Education Department of FISIP UNNES for equipping our community with disaster mitigation knowledge and skills. With this foundation, we hope Keji Village can serve as a model of a disaster-resilient village in Semarang Regency,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This activity supports the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 11 on Safe and Sustainable Cities and Communities and SDG 13 on Climate Action.
