<\/figure>\n\n\n\nFigure 1.<\/strong> Opening and remarks at the Visiting Lecturer activity of the FIPP UNNES Non-Formal Education Study Program.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The event began with an opening remarks and remarks, followed by the official opening by the Dean of FIPP UNNES and the Coordinator of the Non-Formal Education Study Program. The opening marked the beginning of an academic forum that brought together academics from across the world with international perspectives on non-formal education and disaster management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The series of activities continued with the signing of an Implementation Agreement (IA) as part of strengthening academic cooperation. This signing demonstrates a commitment to building collaboration and academic networks that can support the development of education, research, and knowledge exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Figure 2.<\/strong> Signing of the Implementation Agreement (IA) during the Visiting Lecturer activity of PNF FIPP UNNES.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Entering the main session, Allfine Loretha, S.Pd., M.Pd., presented research findings related to education and disaster management. The presentation of these research findings illustrated the importance of education in increasing community understanding and capacity to address disaster risks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Figure 3.<\/strong> Allfine Loretha, S.Pd., M.Pd. presenting research results during the Visiting Lecturer activity.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Next, Assoc. Prof. Kaori Kitagawa from University College London (UCL) delivered a presentation on “Disaster Risk Reduction Based on Seikatsu Bosai.” This presentation provides a perspective on disaster risk reduction that is oriented towards everyday life ( seikatsu<\/em> ), so that preparedness efforts are not only understood as a response when a disaster occurs, but also as part of people’s daily habits and lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Figure 4.<\/strong> Assoc <\/strong>. Prof. Kaori Kitagawa from University College London delivered the material \u201cDisaster Risk Reduction Based on Seikatsu Bosai\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Through this material, participants are encouraged to see that disaster risk reduction can be built through knowledge, awareness, skills, and habits applied in everyday life. This perspective is relevant to the field of non-formal education, which is closely connected to the community and can serve as a means to build community capacity sustainably.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Visiting Lecturer’s discussion also relates to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Strengthening knowledge and capacity through education aligns with SDG 4: Quality Education. Meanwhile, efforts to build communities resilient to disaster risks support SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities and SDG 13: Climate Action, particularly in building community resilience and raising awareness of environmental risks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Figure 5.<\/strong> Caption: Students and participants listening to the Visiting Lecturer’s presentation of material.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Following the presentation, the event continued with a question-and-answer session. Participants were given the opportunity to engage in direct discussions with Assoc. Prof. Kaori Kitagawa and the presenters. The questions and responses provided a platform to deepen their understanding of disaster risk reduction<\/em> , Seikatsu Bosai<\/em> , and its application in the context of non-formal education and the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Figure 6.<\/strong> Question and answer session and discussion between participants and resource persons.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The event concluded with a closing ceremony and a joint documentation session. This Visiting Lecturer provided valuable academic experience for FIPP UNNES PNF students, allowing them to gain insights from an international perspective while connecting non-formal education studies with disaster issues relevant to community life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Figure 7.<\/strong> Joint documentation after the Visiting Lecturer PNF FIPP UNNES activity.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Through this activity, the FIPP UNNES Non-Formal Education Study Program continues to encourage the development of contextual, adaptive, and community-resilience-oriented education. The presence of Assoc.
