Bandung, July 22, 2026 \u2013 The Doctoral Guidance and Counseling Education (PBK) Study Program at Semarang State University (UNNES) participated in the 3rd Bandung International Conference of Guidance and Counseling (BICGC) 2026, organized by the Guidance and Counseling Study Program, Indonesia University of Education (UPI). The international conference, themed “Advancing Guidance and Counseling for Sustainable Health and Quality Education: Global Perspectives and Local Wisdom,” provided an academic forum for lecturers, researchers, practitioners, and students from various countries to share research findings and strengthen collaboration in the field of Guidance and Counseling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The participation of the UNNES PBK Doctoral Program in this conference is part of an effort to support the internationalization of higher education while expanding its academic network globally. During the conference, participants participated in various scientific presentation sessions, academic discussions, and collaborative forums addressing strategic issues such as mental health, quality education, innovative guidance and counseling services, and character development in a global context.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this participation, the UNNES PBK Doctoral Program had the opportunity to exchange ideas with academics and practitioners from various countries, present the results of scientific developments, and explore opportunities for international research and publication collaboration. Attendance at this international scientific forum also represents a concrete step towards improving the quality of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and the competitiveness of study programs globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participation in BICGC 2026 supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) point 4 (Quality Education) by strengthening the quality of higher education and developing academic capacity. The conference’s theme, which highlights mental health and well-being, also aligns with SDG point 3 (Good Health and Well-being), while the cross-border academic collaborations established through this forum support SDG point 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
