This guest lecture was held online via Zoom Meeting starting at 07:30 AM (WIB) and featured Roseno Hendratmojo, S.Psi., a certified assessor from BNSP. Around 190 fourth-semester psychology students joined the event. Roseno shared valuable knowledge and experience that helped deepen students\u2019 understanding in the field of Industrial and Organizational Psychology. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his presentation, Roseno explained that Organizational Development (OD) is a planned change process across an organization to improve its health and effectiveness through interventions in organizational processes. OD aims to connect individual needs with organizational goals so that resources, especially human resources, can be used optimally and work in synergy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHR has an important role in organizational growth, because HR doesn\u2019t just manage employees, but also acts as a change agent who ensures employee engagement and maintains organizational culture to achieve shared goals,\u201d<\/em> said Roseno during his presentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Roseno also introduced the concept of VUCA, which stands for Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity\u2014a term first popularized by the U.S. Army to teach leadership techniques. According to him, companies need to understand the VUCA concept in order to implement OD properly and respond to the many business challenges in this fast-changing era.<\/p>\n\n\n\n (Picture 1 and 2: Presentation Session by Roseno Hendratmojo, S.Psi)<\/p>\n\n\n\n After the presentation, a Q&A session was held and received enthusiastically by the participants. The event ended with a group photo session. One of the participants shared her impression after attending the lecture, saying, \u201cI think this guest lecture was really useful because usually, we only learn theory in class. But through Mr. Roseno\u2019s explanation, I realized that OD is not just about changing the structure of an organization, but also about how we as HR can help employees grow in line with company goals. It made me even more excited to study Industrial and organizational Psychology because the real-world application is wide and challenging.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n (Picture 3: Group Photo Session)<\/p>\n\n\n\n With this guest lecture, it is hoped that students will gain a deeper understanding of the importance of Organizational Development (OD) in managing human capital.
