UNNES Psychology \u2013 The Psychology Study Program at Semarang State University held a Teaching
Factory event on Saturday, September 28, attended by Psychology students via Zoom Meeting from 3:00
PM to 5:30 PM WIB (10:00 AM – 12:30 PM French time). The event featured Lobena Bensif, B.Sc.,
M.Sc., a graduate of the University of Paris, France, as the speaker discussing the topic “Enhancing
Patient Outcomes: Neuropsychological Assessment and Intervention Techniques in Hospital Settings.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lobena Bensif discussed the application of neuropsychological assessment and intervention techniques in
French hospitals, particularly in child psychiatry departments. As a neuropsychology specialist, she works
with children aged 6 to 12 who experience behavioral disorders and crises. Ms. Bensif explained that
neuropsychology studies cognitive and emotional disorders resulting from brain dysfunction and outlined
its significant history, including contributions from figures such as Franz Joseph Gall, Paul Broca, and
John Harlow, who linked brain injuries to behavioral changes..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, Ms. Bensif emphasized the importance of brain plasticity, which is the brain’s ability to
adapt after injury, especially in children. She also discussed the significance of thorough diagnosis and
cognitive rehabilitation programs designed to restore patients’ functioning in daily life. Techniques such
as cognitive remediation, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and cross-cultural approaches in psychiatry are
employed to address disorders like ADHD, PTSD, and autism, with the support of a multidisciplinary
team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Teaching Factory event not only provided in-depth insights into the importance of neuropsychology
in the health sector but also reinforced the role of psychologists in improving patients’ quality of life
through holistic and evidence-based intervention approaches. The discussion with Lobena Bensif inspired
UNNES Psychology students to understand the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration and cross-
cultural approaches in addressing cognitive and emotional disorders. Through this event, it is hoped that
