Semarang (August 14) \u2013 Data analysis is increasingly becoming a critical skill required across various fields, both in academia and industry. Jamovi is a statistical software known for its user-friendliness, robust data analysis capabilities, and open-source nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To enhance research capacity and data analysis skills among lecturers and students, the Research, Community Service, and Publication Unit of the Faculty of Education and Psychology organized a workshop titled \u201cAdvanced Data Analysis Using Jamovi\u201d on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. Held at the Digital Center of Semarang State University, the workshop featured Dr. Felix Why, an expert in health and occupational psychology from the School of Psychology, University of Worcester, United Kingdom (UK).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This full-day event ran from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM WIB. It began with a welcome address from Rahmawati Prihastuty, S.Psi., M.Si., the chief of the Research, Community Service, and Publication Unit, and the main sessions were moderated by Muhammad Nazil Iqdami, M.Ed. The workshop covered four key topics: (1) Multivariate and univariate analysis, (2) Factor analysis, (3) Analysis of suppressor effects, covariates, moderation, and mediation, and (4) Mixed models analysis. In addition to teaching the use of the application for data analysis, the workshop also provided participants with hands-on practice using real data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event attracted a high level of interest, with a total of 70 participants comprising lecturers and students, from undergraduate to doctoral levels. \u201cThis event was enjoyable and definitely enhanced my knowledge of statistics and data analysis technology. The speaker was easy to understand in delivering the material. I hope similar events will be held again with different topics,\u201d said Fikrotul Hanifah, one of the participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
