Semarang, January 15 – 28, 2024<\/strong> – Undergraduate students from the Elementary School Teacher Education Program (PGSD) of the Faculty of Education and Psychology, Universitas Negeri Semarang (FIPP UNNES), are organizing the 38th Basic Training (Diklatsar) for the Indonesian Red Cross Volunteer Corps (KSR-PMI). The Volunteer Corps (KSR) Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) unit provides a platform for regular and individual members who voluntarily declare their commitment to becoming KSR members (https:\/\/www.pmi.or.id\/<\/a> , accessed on 05\/20\/2024). This activity is an effort by the PGSD FIPP UNNES program to prepare graduates who are skilled in providing first aid to their students in the event of an accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, this activity aims to cultivate a generation of resilient KSR members with strong character and high humanitarian values, based on the principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. The 7 Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement are Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Voluntary Service, Unity, and Universality (https:\/\/pmikotasemarang.or.id\/7-prinsip-dasar\/<\/a> , accessed on 05\/20\/2024). The Diklatsar KSR-PMI will be conducted over two weeks with 11 sessions, culminating in one disaster simulation session for the KSR-PMI participants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
