Semarang, February 25, 2025 \u2014 The Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP) of Semarang State University (UNNES) conducted a field assessment of fostered villages in Sambirejo Village, Bringin District, Semarang Regency. This activity is part of FIPP UNNES’s efforts to understand community conditions and identify village potentials and needs as a basis for developing development programs that are in accordance with the characteristics of the local community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The field assessment was conducted through direct visits and interactions with the Sambirejo Village community. Based on activity documentation, the team held discussions with residents and observed environmental conditions and community activities. This activity provided a platform to explore various issues, local potential, and opportunities for developing community empowerment programs.
Through this assessment, FIPP UNNES strives to build communication and collaborative relationships with the community and relevant parties in the village. Information obtained from the field can be used as a consideration in designing community service activities that are more targeted, sustainable, and tailored to the needs of the residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/unnes.ac.id\/fipp\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2026\/10\/image-28.png\")

This activity is related to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11: Sustainable Cities and Human Settlements, particularly in promoting the development of inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable communities. A field assessment-based approach is the first step in understanding community needs and developing programs that support the quality of life at the village level.
Through the assisted village program, FIPP UNNES is expected to continue strengthening the role of universities in supporting community development through the application of science, collaboration, and empowerment based on local needs. Synergy between universities and communities is an important foundation for the development of more independent and sustainable villages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
