Executive Board

The leaders of the Faculty of Education (FIP) at Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) consist of a number of education experts who have experience and competency in both academic and administrative fields. They are responsible for the development and management of FIP UNNES, and ensure that the study programs offered meet the needs and expectations of the community in creating quality and innovative human resources in education. The leaders of FIP UNNES continue to strive to improve the quality and relevance of the study programs offered, as well as strengthen cooperation with various parties to optimize the potential of FIP UNNES in the field of education.

Dean & Vice Dean of FIP UNNES

Dr. Edy Purwanto, M.Si.

Dean of Faculty of Education

Dr. Edy Purwanto, M.Si was born in Purwokerto on January 21, 1963. Completed his Bachelor of Education and Guidance Psychology at IKIP Negeri Semarang in 1986. He then earned a master’s degree in Educational Psychology from Gajahmada University, Yogyakarta in 1993, and in 2011 earned doctoral degree in Educational Psychology from Universitas Negeri Malang. In 2008, he had the opportunity to carry out the Dikti Overseas Sandwich Program for four months at the University of Alberta, Edmonton CANADA.

Outside higher education, he was entrusted by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education to become the TPA Test Compilation Team for the selection of new students entering the SBMPTN route from 2011 to 2017. From 2012 to 2013 he was assigned as the Adhoc Team of the National Education Standards Agency. And from 2012 to 2018 he was assigned as a Reviewer for the Selection of Candidates for LPDP Scholarship Recipients.

In the field of campus management, he has received trust from the Head of the Counseling Guidance Laboratory, Secretary to the Psychology Department, Head of the Psychology Department, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs at FIP ​​UNNES, and since 2020 until now he has been entrusted with becoming the Dean of FIP UNNES.

In carrying out his professional duties as a lecturer, he has made the best achievements, including obtaining an award as Exemplary Lecturer I FIP UNNES. Through the research activities carried out, it was possible to formulate the Trident Motivation Model which is a new synthesis of the theory of achievement motivation. Another achievement he has achieved is the award he received from the President of the Republic of Indonesia in the form of the Satya Lencana Karya Satya.

Farid Ahmadi, S.Kom., M.Kom., Ph.D.

Vice Dean for Academic Affairs

Farid Ahmadi is Associate Professor in Primary School Teacher Education and has a position as Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at Education Faculty UNNES. His position comes from his dedication to evolving Academic Atmosphere in Education Faculty. His experiences in leadership and managing organization have already proven, such as becoming secretary of the Primary School teacher education department, elementary education coordinator for the postgraduate school, and vice dean for academic affairs Education Faculty for the 2019–2022 period.

His innovation and publication, indexed nationally and internationally, express his dedication to the scientific field. He has many publications accredited in SINTA, Scopus, and Web of Science about primary school education and technology. His research has been recognized and widely cited by researchers in Indonesia. His areas of expertise are in Digital Augmented Reality Learning Media, Ethno-Science Hybrid Learning Models, and Digital Technology for Education.

Besides being active in UNNES, he also built networks as General Secretary HPGSD of Indonesia and Secretary of Central Java Regional for the Bachelor Association of Indonesia; He believes that academic achievement must be started from within the individual. That strong commitment was proven by awards given to him, such as Best Paper of AIPAR Australia 2O10, Best Paper of SER Molovsio 2015, Best Paper of AMCA Manila 2017, and Runner up for Best Lecture of humanities UNNES 2016.

Kusnarto Kurniawan, M.Pd., Kons.

Vice Dean II for General Affairs & Finance

Kusnarto Kurniawan is a highly respected academician in the field of guidance and counselling. Prior to his current position, He served as Head of Guidance and Counselling Program, Faculty of Education UNNES. He obtained the title of professional counsellor so that so far he has also been a professional counsellor in the guidance and counselling laboratory. Throughout his career, Kusnarto Kurniawan, M.Pd., Kons. has published many research articles in Scopus and SINTA, reflecting his commitment to advancing the field of guidance and counselling. His research has been recognized and widely cited by researchers in Indonesia. His areas of specialization are Career Guidance and Counselling, Guidance and Counselling in Elementary School, and Group Guidance and Counselling.

Apart from his main duties as a Lecturer, he is also active in professional organizations. Currently, he serves as Secretary of the Scientific and Professional Development Department of the Executive Board of Indonesian Guidance and Counselling Association (PB ABKIN) for the 2022-2026 Period. In addition, he also serves as Chairman of 1 Regional Management of the Indonesian Guidance and Counselling Association of Central Java Province (PD ABKIN of Central Java Province) for the 2021-2025 Period). Previously he was the 2013 Curriculum Implementation Assistance Team at the Junior High School Level, the Academic Manuscript Drafting Team for the Indonesian Guidance and Counselling Regulation (NARBKI), the Drafting Team for the Guidelines for the Establishment of the Counsellor Professional Education Study Program, National Resource Persons for Teacher Learners, resource persons for seminars and workshops on Guidance and Counselling.

 

Siti Nuzulia, S.Psi., M.Si., Ph.D.

Vice Dean for Student Affairs

Siti Nuzulia is the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Faculty of Education UNNES. As the Vice Dean of Student affairs, her main responsibility is to manage student activities, especially in the field of talent and interest development. She joined UNNES in 2005 in the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Education. As a lecturer, her expertise is occupational psychology. She wrote numerous research papers, one of which is titled When the Dark Shines: The Role of Dark Personality Traits on Leadership Role Occupancy and Hiring Decisions in a Collectivistic Culture. It gained the High Quality Scientific Article in Health and Medicine award from the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) in 2020. She now teaches research methodology, career development, and current issues in industrial and organizational psychology.
