Semarang, January 6, 2026 — The Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP), Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), held a Book Launch and the 2025 Research Output Exhibition on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, as part of its institutional commitment to strengthening research culture, enhancing the quality of scholarly publications, and expanding the academic impact in the fields of education and psychology. The event was officially opened by the Dean of FIPP UNNES, Edy Purwanto, M.Si., and was accompanied by the Vice Dean III of FIPP UNNES, Siti Nuzulia, S.Psi., M.Si., Ph.D. The discussion and book launch sessions were moderated by Muhammad Nazil Iqdami, M.Ed.

This event marked the official launch of two academic books resulting from collaborative work among FIPP UNNES lecturers and researchers, namely Educating Minds and Hearts: Wellbeing, Character, and Innovation for Inclusive Learning and The Future of Education in Indonesia: Innovative Approaches to Technology, Curriculum, and Pedagogy. Both books reflect the strategic research direction of FIPP UNNES, which emphasizes pedagogical innovation, character development, and wellbeing as foundational elements for inclusive and sustainable educational development. In addition to the book launch, the event was also integrated with the 2025 Research Output Exhibition, showcasing a wide range of leading research outputs by FIPP UNNES faculty members. These outputs included scholarly publications, innovative learning models, educational media, and the development of psychological and educational interventions relevant to contemporary educational challenges.

As invited speakers, the event featured representatives of the book chapter authors, namely Mulawarman, S.Pd., M.Pd., Ph.D.; Liftiah, S.Psi., M.Si., Ph.D., Psychologist; Bagas Kurnianto, M.Pd.; and Tri Hutami Wardoyo, S.Pd., M.Ed., who represent expertise in education, psychology, and learning innovation. The speakers presented the core ideas, research findings, and academic reflections underlying their respective book chapters, while also discussing the implications of these research outcomes for policy development, educational practice, and psychological services in Indonesia.

Through the organization of the Book Launch and the 2025 Research Output Exhibition, FIPP UNNES reaffirms its role as a research-based center for the advancement of educational and psychological sciences, aligned with national policies and global development agendas, and responsive to the real needs of society. This initiative supports the realization of an advanced, inclusive, and sustainable education system in Indonesia.

The implementation of this activity is aligned with the National Research Master Plan (Rencana Induk Riset Nasional – RIRN), particularly within the clusters of human resource development, quality education, and the strengthening of social sciences and humanities, while also supporting the downstreaming of research in education and psychology. Furthermore, this initiative contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), and supports Indonesia’s national development agenda (Asta Cita) through the strengthening of high-quality, character-driven, and competitive human resources, as well as the development of an impactful educational research and innovation ecosystem.
