Semarang, January 13, 2026 — The Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP), Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), organized a Scopus-Indexed Journal Manuscript Writing Workshop as part of a strategic initiative to enhance both the quality and quantity of lecturers’ scholarly publications. The workshop was held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 08:15 to 16:00 WIB, at the 3rd Floor of the FIPP UNNES Dean’s Building.
The workshop featured Dr. Mohammad Archi Maulyda, S.Pd., M.Pd., a faculty member of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Mataram, as the keynote speaker. Through intensive mentoring sessions, participants were equipped with practical strategies for developing scholarly manuscripts that meet the standards of reputable international journals. These sessions covered key aspects such as strengthening research novelty, ensuring argumentative coherence, selecting appropriate target journals, and effectively navigating the peer-review process.
The event was officially opened by the Dean of FIPP UNNES, Prof. Dr. Edy Purwanto, M.Si., who emphasized that strengthening lecturers’ publication capacity is a critical component of transforming the academic culture. This workshop was designed as a concrete step to accelerate the achievement of the “One Lecturer One Scopus” target, while simultaneously enhancing the national and international competitiveness of FIPP UNNES academic staff.

The implementation of this activity aligns with Indonesia’s national development agenda (Asta Cita), particularly in strengthening high-quality human resources and fostering a sustainable educational research ecosystem. From a global perspective, the workshop contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 4 (Quality Education) through the reinforcement of research-based higher education, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through inter-university academic collaboration.
Furthermore, this initiative is consistent with the National Research Master Plan (Rencana Induk Riset Nasional – RIRN), particularly within the cluster of human resource development and the strengthening of social sciences and humanities. It promotes increased research productivity and the generation of scholarly publication outputs that are relevant to the needs of national educational development. Through this workshop, FIPP UNNES reaffirms its commitment to building a productive, collaborative, and quality-oriented academic ecosystem that prioritizes long-term scholarly impact.
