Saturday, November 9, 2024 – Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP) organized a national seminar titled “Comprehensive Preparation of Outstanding Teachers through the Integration of Undergraduate Teacher Education with PPG and Partnerships between Teacher Training Institutes and Provincial and Regional Governments.” This event also included the inauguration of the Indonesian Education Scholars Association (ISPI) board for Central Java Province for the 2024-2029.
The event began with the induction of the ISPI Central Java board, with Prof. Dr. Edy Purwanto, M.Si. being inaugurated as the new chair, succeeding Mr. Trisno Martono, MM. Prof. Edy Purwanto, who also serves as the Dean of FIPP at UNNES, will lead this new board in efforts to enhance the quality of education in the province.
Following the inauguration, the national seminar proceeded with presentations from various speakers. The Rector of the Indonesian University of Education (UPI), Prof. Dr. M. Solehuddin, M.Pd., who also serves as the Chair of ISPI, delivered the keynote address on the Collaborative Model between Teacher Training Institutes and Regional Governments in Teacher Mapping. Prof. Dr. Edy Purwanto, M.Si. also provided in-depth insights on the importance of integrating undergraduate teacher education with the Teacher Professional Program (PPG) and the role of partnerships between teacher training institutes and local governments in producing outstanding teachers. The discussion was moderated by Dr. Bambang Ismanto, M.Si.
The event continued with a work meeting of the new ISPI Central Java board for the 2024-2029 term, led by ISPI Central Java General Secretary Ali Formen Yudha, M.Ed., Ph.D. This meeting aimed to formulate strategic work programs to support educational quality improvement in Central Java.
