The Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP) Semarang State University held a faculty meeting on Tuesday-Wednesday (30-31 January 2024) in Solo. The meeting aimed to develop a strategy for achieving the performance of the Faculty of Education and Psychology in 2024. The activity was attended and opened directly by the Vice Rector I for academic and student affairs, Prof Dr Zaenuri MSi Akt.
The faculty meeting was attended by 182 participants consisting of 145 lecturers and 37 educational staff in the faculty of education and psychology. This activity becomes a discussion forum for reflecting on previous year’s achievements and developing strategies for accelerating FIPP IKU achievements in 2024 between faculty leaders, lecturers, and education staff. The preparation of the FIPP performance achievement strategy received suggestions from the Vice Rector I, Prof. Dr. Zaenuri MSi Akt.
According to Prof. Dr. Zaenuri, there are several strategies that can be implemented to accelerate the achievement in realizing the excellence education of FIPP accordance with the university’s vision. This strategy includes increasing research and publication collaboration with Top Scientists, involving academic roles such as adjunct professors, managing research funding that focuses more on joint research, and increasing academic programs such as double/joint degrees, summer courses and joint seminars.
Prof. Dr. Edy Purwanto MSi as Dean of FIPP welcomed the motivation from Vice Rector I and was committed to supporting the realization of FIPP as a center for educational excellence. “Efforts to realize educational brilliance can be achieved through maintaining enthusiasm, confirming the goals to be achieved, finding lessons learned from previous year’s performance, and establishing effective strategies to achieve targets,” he said.
