Semarang, June 8, 2023 – The Faculty of Education and Psychology organized a special event titled “Guest Lecture on Creativity and Innovation in Teaching.” The event was attended by students from undergraduate to postgraduate programs and took place at the Dean’s Building with great enthusiasm.
The event featured two distinguished speakers who shared their knowledge and insights. One of the speakers was Dr. Khutilda Nugultham from Thailand, an expert in creativity and innovation in education. The other speaker was Mr. Zakki Nurul Amin, M.Pd., a prominent figure from Indonesia who has made significant contributions to the development of innovative teaching methods.
The Guest Lecture event served as a platform for students to enhance their creativity and personal growth in teaching. Dr. Edy Purwanto, M.Si., the Dean of the Faculty of Education and Psychology, delivered an inspiring opening speech. He stated, “This event aims to enhance the creativity within our students and develop their innovative teaching approaches. We hope this event will bring forth new and innovative teaching methods for every educator.”
The opening session of the talk show was filled with excitement and interaction between Dr. Khutilda Nugultham and the audience. Dr. Khutilda utilized images as stimuli to provoke creative thinking. The participants actively engaged in the session and shared their creative ideas related to teaching. Additionally, Dr. Khutilda posed meaningful questions to deepen audience involvement.
Equally captivating, Mr. Zakki Nurul Amin, M.Pd., delivered a compelling presentation. He commenced with a thought-provoking question, “How confident are you in becoming a teacher?” The diverse responses from the audience sparked an engaging discussion. Zakki not only explained the concept of an innovative teacher but also shared anecdotes that reinforced the idea that being a teacher is an exciting and meaningful journey.
The Guest Lecture event successfully provided interesting information and inspired all participants. The Faculty of Education and Psychology hopes that this event will encourage students to develop their creativity in teaching and introduce new innovative methods into the classroom.
