Integrity Zone is a concept that is a government effort to promote integrity, public service, and good governance standards for all government agencies including universities. This concept was launched by the Faculty of Education at Universitas Negeri Semarang on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. The Integrity Zone development launch event with the theme “Towards a Corruption-Free Zone and Clean Bureaucracy Serving in the Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Semarang” was held on the 1st floor of the Faculty of Education Dean’s Office.
The Integrity Zone launch activity for the faculty of education aims to create a healthy and quality academic environment. When students and lecturers can carry out the teaching and learning process in a good environment, and develop knowledge without unethical values such as plagiarism, cheating in exams, or other forms of dishonesty during the academic process. With the establishment of the Integrity Zone in the Faculty of Education, it is hoped that it can bring integrity values namely honesty, responsibility, and discipline in the academic process. Therefore, the human resources developed by the Faculty of Education are expected to be of high quality.
Integrity values are also related to the cleanliness of corruption, collusion, nepotism, or other unethical actions. This will also encourage transparency and accountability in the governance of the Faculty of Education. The launch of the Integrity Zone will create transparency in every financial decision-making process.
The enforcement of the Integrity Zone in the Faculty of Education is not only aimed at improving existing human resources to have integrity values embedded in each individual, but also as a means for the community in the Faculty of Education to have more trust in the governance system and academic system built by the Faculty of Education. Therefore, the Dean of the Faculty of Education proudly launches the Integrity Zone program to realize a dignified, trusted, and integrated campus.
