Praise and gratitude for the presence of Allah SWT, who has bestowed His mercy, taufiq and guidance so that the Faculty of Law today, November 30, 2020, is 13 years old. In this opportunity to celebrate the 13th Anniversary of the Faculty of Law, allow me to present the Dean’s Annual Report as one of the academic traditions at the Faculty of Law.
The 13th Anniversary of the Faculty of Law UNNES brought great enthusiasm, “Incredible (Innovative, Creative, Dynamic, Adaptable)”, we made this spirit the theme for the 13th year of the Faculty of Law. This theme is a response to events this year, where we are all being tested with trials in the form of the Covid-19 Pandemic which has not only impacted one sector, but all sectors including our beloved campus.
We also carry this theme as a shared encouragement, that we are sure that all these trials will end, but we must all support one another, look after one another, and of course pray for one another. This theme also proves that we, the big family of the UNNES Faculty of Law, are able to adapt quickly to previously unforeseen conditions, and even, even in very limited conditions, we are able to show various creativity in many ways, including in the pattern of lectures that continue to run smoothly. Very good.
The theme of the 13th UNNES Faculty of Law Anniversary this time is also in line with the Semarang State University program in strengthening UNNES’s international reputation as a World Class University, so we, the UNNES FH family continue to innovate, positive change, increase creativity, and adapt to progress information Technology. Completely, this year the lectures are held online by utilizing the ELENA UNNES system and other media. In addition, various activities were also carried out very well.ent.
Innovative means our commitment to continue to innovate in various ways, be it teaching, service, or innovation to improve the quality of human resources.
Various changes, both in terms of supporting infrastructure and non-physical facilities, continue to be made by FH UNNES. This is evidenced by the improvement in the quality of infrastructure on the FH UNNES campus, increasing service standards during the Pandemic, and even increasing the achievements of lecturers and students. The Covid-19 pandemic may occur, but the enthusiasm to continue working must not be extinguished. That is what then drives the UNNES Faculty of Law together and synergizes with each other to achieve a common vision, towards a Faculty of Law with a conservation perspective and international reputation.
Innovative means our commitment to continue to innovate in various ways, be it teaching, service, or innovation to improve the quality of human resources. This innovation is also in line with Creative, or creativity, where we continue to make positive changes and try various ways to support UNNES’s vision and mission. Meanwhile, Dynamic means that we continue to move together in achieving the vision and mission of the institution. So, Adaptable, means that we are able to adapt under any conditions, in carrying out repair work to support UNNES’s vision and mission and continue to make contributions to the nation and state of Indonesia.
“Faculty of Law with conservation insight and international reputation”, synergizes with each other and establishes harmony. Strengthening reputation means participating and continuing to innovate, breakthrough, and develop achievements that have been achieved as a means of proving that our Faculty is ready to become an important part not only for UNNES, but for all Indonesian people.
One of the strengthening of the reputation of national unity is to make the Faculty iconic, namely by making one of the new UNNES Faculty of Law landmarks, namely the statue of Prof. Dr. Mr. R. Soepomo, the landmark has an implied meaning or philosophy, namely law enforcement with the character of Pancasila and upholding unity. Similar to the thoughts of R. Soepomo who stated “Indonesia is a unitary state that is integralistic in nature, in which the thoughts of people from all groups unite to create unity”. Apart from that, we are also increasing our excellent service to international standards, with the development of a laboratory at the UNNES Faculty of Law and integrated services.
Apart from that, improving the quality of human resources is also a concern to us, as evidenced by the fact that in 2019 the Faculty of Law Lecturers and Education Staff were awarded 1st Place for Achievement Education Personnel at the UNNES level.
Until 2020, the UNNES Faculty of Law continues to collaborate internationally and encourage increased international mobility activities. In 2020, research collaboration and study development has been carried out with several well-known campuses abroad, including, University of Southern Queensland (USQ) Australia, Faculty of Law Jindal University India, Sunggong University South Korea, Faculty of Law Thammasat University, Faculty of Law Prince Songkla, University, and Faculty of Law, Pathumyani University Thailand. In addition, collaboration with the Malaysian Islamic Sciences University (USIM), Utrecht, University of The Netherlands, Universität Göttingen Germany, and Kyoto University.
Japan is also well established. One of them is the holding of the 2020 International Conference which invited legal experts from Australia, Germany, Japan and Malaysia which successfully brought in no less than 200 participants from various countries online.
In 2024, at the age of 17, we say Alhamdullilah, all of our achievements are inseparable from the will of Allah the Almighty, also thanks to the efforts which for us are not only optimal, but above the maximum so that in 2020, Faculty Lecturers UNNES Law adds to the collection of international publications on Scopus and Thomson Reuters. Also today, we are very proud to present 13 of our journals which have received accreditation both nationally and internationally, namely Pandecta Research Law Journal (Sinta 2), Journal of Indonesian Legal Studies (Sinta 2), Unnes Law Journal (Sinta 3), Indonesian Journal of Criminal Law Studies (Sinta 4), Journal of Private and Commercial Law (Sinta 4), and Lex Scientia Law Review (Sinta 4).
In addition, other journals are currently in the accreditation review stage, and we hope that this year the accreditation results will come out with satisfactory results, including: Indonesian State Law Review, Indonesian Journal of Advocacy and Legal Services, Journal of Law and Legal Reform, Law Research Quarterly Review, The Indonesian Journal of International Clinical Legal Education, The Digest Journal of Jurisprudence and Legisprudence, and Indonesian Journal of Legal Service. A total of 13 journals within the Faculty of Law UNNES have been accredited and entered the accreditation process, and are indexed by several national and international institutions, such as DOAJ, Google Scholar, Garuda Ristekdikti, and
etc.
Our 21 journals have been accredited this year and are in the accreditation process.
Currently, in 2020, two of our journals (Pandecta Research Law Journal and Journal of Indonesian Legal Studies) are preparing to be able to submit an assessment for the Scopus International Journal. national and international level. This reputation improvement can be seen from the cooperation of various parties.
In 2024 the Adhyaksa Study Center (Prosecutor’s Study) was formed as a positive response to the development of institutions in Indonesia, besides that the Center for Anti-Radicalism and Terrorism Studies at the Faculty of Law became an active partner with the Indonesian National Counterterrorism Agency, and the Center for Labor Law Studies and Clinics successfully collaborated with BNP2TKI and the Korean Government in organizing the selection of Korean Indonesian workers, and the Law Faculty of UNNES is directly responsible and organizing the selection.
On this occasion I represent the big family of the UNNES Faculty of Law, thanking the honorable Chancellor and UNNES leadership, Faculty leaders within UNNES for all their attention, assistance and suggestions for the progress of the Faculty of Law. We also thank ladies and gentlemen, both internally and externally at UNNES, who have dedicated their thoughts and hard work to lay a solid foundation and good tradition for the development of the faculty.
