Alumni of the UNNES Faculty of Law are a generation of young jurists who have completed their higher education in law and are prepared to become law enforcers and professionals with integrity. As graduates of a university that upholds conservation values, UNNES Law alumni are not only equipped with a strong understanding of legal doctrines and principles (such as criminal, civil, constitutional, and international law), but are also expected to possess excellent moral character, care for social justice, and be adaptable to legal developments in the digital era.
The organization of the Alumni Family Association (IKA) of the Faculty of Law UNNES was born through deliberation and discussion attended by several alumni of the Faculty of Law UNNES such as Mrs. Waspiah, SH, M.H., Hery Abduh, SH, MH, Moh. Azil Maskur, SH., MH and Benny Sumardiana, SH., MH. The name chosen for the organization was the Alumni Family Association of the Faculty of Law, State University of Semarang which was then commonly abbreviated as IKA FH UNNES. The birth of the Alumni Family Association of FH UNNES at that time was accompanied by its main apparatus, namely the Articles of Association and Management (temporary) chaired by Mrs. Waspiah, SH, M.H. with Secretary Moh. Azil Maskur, SH. M.H.
The birth of the Alumni Family Association was based on the strong encouragement and sense of responsibility of alumni of the Faculty of Law, State University of Semarang to participate in fostering and building their alma mater. Routine deliberations every year have given a mandate to pioneers or temporary administrators to prepare everything needed so that one year later they can hold a more complete and complete alumni deliberation to form a definitive Alumni Family Association administrator.
The Management of IKA FH UNNES for the period 2018–2019 as intended in the mandate in the Congress of Deliberation and Gathering of IKA FH UNNES held on January 13, 2018 stipulates that Muhtar Said, SH. MH (Chairman of IKA FH UNNES). The main position of Muhtar Said as the Head of the Law Study Program of the Nahdatul Ulama University of Indonesia (UNUSIA) and the National Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu). Job opportunities for graduates of the Law Study Program are to become law enforcers (Police, Prosecutors, Judges, and Lawyers), Legal Drafters, Legal Officers, Legal Consultants, Advocates, and Legal Researchers. Based on alumni research, it is known that graduates of the UNNES Law Study Program work in government and private agencies.
The government agencies in question include the National Police, the Prosecutor‘s Office, the Judiciary, the Financial Audit Agency, the Ministry of Finance (Tax Office, Customs), the Ministry of Home Affairs (Provincial and City/Regency Governments), the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, the National Land Agency, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Public Works. Private agencies include the Lawyer‘s Office, the Legal Consultant Office, the Notary Office, Banking, Companies, Non–Governmental Organizations, and other social community organizations.
