Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) held an orientation program for its international students on Thursday (19/8)

The international students come from 18 different countries in 3 continents, such as Russia, Netherlands, Kyrgyztan, Pakistan, Thailand, Afghanistan, Yemen, Timor Leste, Morocco, Turkmenistan, Egypt, Libya, Uganda, Sierra Leone, Madagascar, Nigeria, Sudan and Algeria.

Most of them are the awardees of UNNES Scholarship that covers their tuition and institutional fees for 8 semester for bachelor degree and 4 semester for master degree. Some of them are also awardees of KNB Scholarship, a grant by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.

Vice Rector for Planning and Partnership Affairs, Dr Hendi Pratama, M.A., said that the process of admission this year is quite special, differ from the previous years. He also wished that this year international students must perform a great passion to study and put their best effort to get the fruitful result.

In addition, he also reminded the international students to always obey the law, rules and any policy while they are in Indonesia later.
