“Rooted in tradition, developing through innovation”
In order to contribute to the world of education, especially early childhood education, the Department of Early Childhood Teacher Education intends to hold The 5th Semarang Early Childhood Research and Education Talks (SECRET) with the theme Roots, Tradition and Innovations in ECEC on September 17, 2020.
SECRET is a conference held periodically every two years by the Early Childhood Teacher Education (PGPAUD) department, Faculty of Science Education (FIP), UNNES. SECRET this year will be held online with a zoom meeting conference platform.
SECRET 2020 aims to be an open learning space for early childhood practitioners, educators, and teachers, researchers and academics as well as policy makers to share their knowledge, research and practice.
The topic raised at SECRET 2020 was about developing educational innovations while remaining rooted in tradition and culture. Innovation is of course very much needed in various sectors of life, including education. As we all know that the Covid-19 pandemic has changed many things, especially daily life patterns, and the only way to survive is to adjust. To prevent the spread of Covid-19, schools ranging from early childhood education to universities are making innovations in learning. Innovations that remain rooted in tradition and culture are alternative solutions to various problems of the nation.
SECRET 2020 will present the Rector of Universitas Negeri Semarang, Prof. Dr. Fathur Rokhman, M.Hum, as the Keynote Speaker along with 6 speakers who are experts in their fields, namely:
- Prof. Radka Wildova (Charles University, Czech Republic)
